The Yangtze-Mississippi Regional Dialogue was held on Wednesday in Wuhan, capital city of Hubei Province. More than 100 representatives from local governments, institutions, enterprises and universities of China and the United States participated in the event. Ecological security and sustainable development were among the hot topics. Representatives from both sides jointly issued the "Wuhan Initiative for Cooperation Development of the Yangtze River and the Mississippi River Basins".
